I wanted to use code snippets today to avoid writting code over and over again. I have found that the documentation on where to find the Code Snippets Manager directs you at Tools > Code Snippets Manager. If you can’t find it here like I found, heres how you add it to the menu:
- Go to the Tools menu and click Customize.
- Select the Commands tab.
- In the Categories section scroll down until you find Tools and select Tools.
- Search for Code Snippets Manager in the Commands section.
- Drag the Code Snippets Manager icon and drop it onto the Tools menu and close the Customize window.
Thanks for the directions. After looking at this I see that you can also highlight Tools in the Categories, click Rearrange Commands, then Add - Tools - Code Snippet Manager.and it appears in the Tools menu.
Thanks for the tip. Have been looking for this for ages. I must confess that visual studio must be the hardest IDE on the market to understand. The MS help so I’ve found is almost useless and on every occasion I’ve had to surf the tinternet for blog posts like yours.
